My HQ Avante got installed in April 2014, just before I left for MQX! I came home to practice some of what I learned at MQX. Learning the pro-stitcher was a bit of a challenge...but I watched lots of HQ and youtube videos! I practiced a few patterns and things on scrap fabric, and proceeded to take on a few customer quilts.  My confidence was there with the pro-stitcher and I managed to do about 64 quilts in 2014. I have to say....I am so happy with my machine and looking forward to building my business and quilting for fun! I am taking three day classes on art & stitch in June...which helps you create and alter patterns and use with the pro-stitcher.  So many options! I am attending several classes in April at MQX 2015. One that I am looking forward to is EQ7 software....which helps you design the actual quilts in so many patterns, sizes and you can import your own fabrics to see what the finished quilt will look like before cutting into the fabrics!

I am in awe with all the talented quilters both here in the states and abroad. So many beautiful quilts hand at several shows around the states....but MQX is my home show held in Manchester, NH. I just love attending the classes, meeting and dining with many of the quilters I have met and always meeting a few new ones! Then there is the famous FB! Where I get to follow all the quilts they are working on....and display a few that I am working on. I have not had time to work on my personal quilts....the movie Frozen was the latest craze....and I made so many Sisters quilts and now also some Olaf ones. I have a few more to finish....and a client quilt to get quilted.

I want to re-organize my sewing room and finish setting up my studio downstairs. I am hoping that when I can open the windows and let fresh air in.....I will have more pep in my step!

As most of you know I got diagnosed with cancer, Leukemia on October 3rd, 2014. I continue to be tested every two weeks for blood levels....and hoping that every things goes well and I do not have to start chemo for a while. At least until I come back from MQX in April. The doctor said it is all based on the levels, could be two days, two weeks or two years! I am taking one day at a time, trying to eat as healthy as I can. I have a few worries on my plate....and pray they will turn out ok. I am enjoying my family and friends, keeping a positive attitude.

I am new to blogging...but future ones I hope to have lots of quilts to talk about!
